I'm graduating soon! My current plan is to get a job as a software engineer. The reason is that I want to expand my view in the industry. I still want to pursue making games, my dream is still to make games that will be a meaningful part of people's life. So, if I can get a job in game industry, great. But, if I can't then it's great too. I love programming in any form. Any path I'm taking will only lead me to get better as a programmer and as a person.
I just don't think it's realistic for me to be an indie game developer, at least not right now. That's why I've been expanding my side projects to not just games. For example, right now I'm working on a custom game launcher for my indie games. You can watch the dev log below this paragraph. I know it's still game related, but technically it's not a game.
I'm also planning on making an android app with my brother, we're discussing it right now. That project will get me out of my comfort zone a little bit, as it will be the first project where I don't use C# and use Java instead.
I'm nervous about a lot of things. I'm nervous about finding a job, I'm nervous about my skill, I'm nervous about what the future has to offer. But these are good feelings, they come together with excitement. And it's good to have them because they remind me that I actually care about these stuffs. I'm gonna keep doing what I'm doing, exploring my options, making more fun projects, learning new things. That way, I know my effort won't disappoint and I will have no regrets in the end. Let's see how it all turns out.
